The Care Resources location near Lowell opened its doors Saturday, November 9th, after ground was broken last October.
The 16,500-square-foot facility is expanding the reach of Care Resources into northeast Kent county, with a focus on helping seniors stay in their homes while getting the care they need.
Care Resources CEO Tracey McKnight said the group saw need for the second location after expanding to cover more West Michigan counties a few years ago.
“We have had people coming to our Grand Rapids location, they were on the bus for a quite a bit of time. And we wanted to bring them closer to home,” she said. “And we also know there is a need in this area.”
McKnight said expanding this style of care will make it easier for an older generation to stay active in their later years.
