Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sept. 11, 2024 – Care Resources today announced experienced healthcare professional Kimberly Smith will serve as the nonprofit’s new CEO.
Smith takes the helm at Care Resources with 25 years of healthcare expertise and a true passion for helping seniors. In her new role, she’ll be responsible for administrative, professional, clinical, financial, quality, compliance, and other programmatic aspects so the agency can provide safe, effective, and efficient programs. Smith will guide the vision of the nonprofit, developing strategic and business plans for future growth, among other duties.
“I’m honored to serve as the CEO of Care Resources,” Smith said. “I have a big heart for seniors, and the opportunity to work with a team dedicated to providing comprehensive care and support of individuals in our local community is incredibly inspiring to me. I’m excited to contribute my skills and expertise to help support the continued success of the Care Resources PACE program.”
Smith replaces outgoing CEO Tracey McKnight, who will retire Jan. 6, 2025 after a successful 45-year career ensuring West Michigan residents have access to quality healthcare. McKnight will work alongside Smith until she officially retires next year.
