Lowell Township, Michigan, Feb. 11, 2025 – Care Resources has been honored with the 2025 Brick Award from the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce for its work to support the Lowell community.
The community-based program for people 55 years and older that promotes healthy and independent living while working to prevent nursing home placement was recognized for the impact being made by its new 16,500-square-foot facility in Lowell Township. The $7.1 million facility, which was completed in fall 2024, offers a wide range of healthcare services as well as opportunities that promote socialization, build community and offer respite to caregivers.
The Brick Award honors organizations improving the economic base within the greater Lowell community, making an investment to grow their organization and creating vibrancy within the community. When it is at capacity, the new Care Resources facility at 11730 Fulton St. E will employ 30 team members who can serve up to 125 participants from the greater Lowell community, northern Kent County and Barry and Ionia counties.
“We are humbled and honored by this recognition from the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce,” Chief Executive Officer Kimberly Smith said. “The entire community has embraced us since the moment we began considering this new location. Our new Day Center will allow us to better provide wrap-around support services to participants and their caregivers without needing to drive into Grand Rapids.”
